Sven Guckes, *1967, maths&cs,
is an advocate of Free Software,
freelancer, lives in Berlin.

He loves tools which can be used within terminals,
especially if they are combinable, easy, efficient,
fast, intuitive, and small, but also cross-platform,
highly configurable, with powerful commands (regex).

He prefers unixish systems and hates carrying hardware
around, so he usually logs in to a remote server
rather than dragging a laptop around.

He gives talks on texttools and efficient interfaces
as well as on events on free and open source software
in europe (for which he maintains a calendar).
Wrote a book on the Z-Shell with Julius Plenz and
is maintaining a few mailing list (eg sed-users).
