Group Description:
SED (short for "stream editor") is a special
"editor", a program to change data with.
SED is not used as an interactive editor, but used mostly on data
streams, ie it changes the data while input flows through it.
SED uses "regular expressions" to detect patterns of text and
change them efficiently.  (additional text welcome - mail me!)
